We are appealing for information after a sexual assault on a train between Rotherham and Doncaster.

The incident happened between 5.53pm and 6.45pm on 14 October.

Members of the public on board the train were subjected to sexual comments by other passengers, who are believed to have been Scunthorpe football fans.

When the train reached Swinton, one of the passengers, a 23-year-old woman, stood up to leave and was sexually assaulted by one of the men.

Officers would like to speak to anyone who was on the train and witnessed the incident, or anyone who has any information which could help the investigation.

If you have any information please call BTP on 0800 40 50 40 or text 61016, quoting reference number 200 of 09/11/2017.
