Assault – Basildon

Officers have launched an investigation after two members of staff were assaulted at Basildon rail station.

The incident happened on Tuesday 14 October ay 5.32pm.

Two barrier line staff members, a man and a woman, were assaulted.

The male member of staff was punched in the face and sustained a broken nose.

The female member of staff was also punched in the face and had her hair pulled.

Officers would now like to speak to anyone who was at the station at the time of the incident and witnessed what happened; in particular they would like to speak to three people.

The first person they would like to speak to is a black boy, of slim build, about 17 years old with uncombed afro hair in two buns. He was wearing dark brown jogging bottoms and top and black trainers.

The second person is a black man, 5 ft 8ins, slim build, about 19 years old. He had braided hair and was wearing jeans, a white t-Shirt and black jacket.

The third person is described as a girl with black shoulder-length hair and about 16-18 years old.
