Appeal for information after assault - Glasgow

We are appealing for information after a man was assaulted after a football match in Glasgow on Saturday.

At around 8.10pm, following the Rangers FC vs Patick Thistle FC football match at Ibrox stadium, the victim boarded the subway system.

On the train, two men began singing offensive songs and the victim and his friends challenged them.

One of the offenders then spat at the victim, who is aged in his fifties, before both assaulted him, punching him repeatedly on the head and body before running away.

The victim sustained severe bruising and swelling to his face and eye and was taken to hospital for treatment.

The first offender is white, of slim build, with short brown hair. He was wearing a black Adidas hooded fleece with white stripes on the sleeve, dark jogging bottoms and white trainers.

The second offender is white, of slim build, with dark hair. He was wearing a light-coloured hooded jacket, black trousers and dark shoes. 

Officers would like to speak to anyone who has any information about the incident, or who knows who the offenders are.
