Appeal for information after outraging public decency incident – Newport

We are appealing for information after an incident of outraging public decency in Newport railway station.

At around 2.15pm on Friday 20 October, a man was seen touching himself inappropriately on a train in front of other passengers.

The train was the 12.15pm Taunton to Cardiff Central service.

The offender is white, aged in his sixties, around 6ft tall, large build, with grey/brown hair at the sides of his head, bald on top.

He was wearing a light blue shirt, grey trousers and black leather shoes.

Officers would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident who has not yet come forward.

In particular, police would like to speak to a woman in her twenties who was sat near the male during the incidents.

A 61-year-old man from Llangollen has been arrested on suspicion of outraging public decency and released under investigation, pending further enquiries.
