Appeal to trace man after hot liquid thrown into train - Essex

Officers from British Transport Police are releasing CCTV images of a man they wish to speak with in connection to an incident at Benfleet station. 
 
The incident occurred on the 6.27am C2C service from Benfleet to Fenchurch on 26 September.
 
Shortly before the train was due to depart, there was an altercation on the station platform between two male passengers. During this altercation, one of the men threw his cup of coffee inside the train. 
 
The hot liquid hit a 21-year-old man in the face resulting minor burns, reddening and soreness. The suspect then left the station.
 
Today, officers are releasing CCTV images of a man they wish to speak with in connection to this incident. If you know who he is, please contact BTP by sending a text to 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference 26/09/2017. Alternatively, details can be passed anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
