We are appealing for information after a man was assaulted in Swansea.

At around 2am on Sunday 3 September, the victim, a 48-year-old man, was assisting a woman he did not know who was in a distressed state outside the front of Swansea railway station.

As he was trying to help her, another man approached and tried to stop the victim. He then punched him, causing him to fall to the ground and lose consciousness.

He broke his leg in the fall.

The offender and the distressed woman left the scene together, walking along the High Street towards the city centre.

Members of the public came to the victim’s aid and called for help.

The offender is a man, of Chinese appearance, aged between 20 and 30 years old. He was wearing a green jumper and jeans.

Officers would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident who has not yet been in touch, or anyone who has any information which could help the investigation.

Please call BTP on 0800 40 50 40 or text 61016, quoting reference 43 of 03/09/2017.
