A British Transport Police officer has been found not guilty of public order offences.

Det Sgt Patrick Kerr, based in London, was charged in March this year.

He appeared at Hammersmith Magistrates’ Court on 15 August and was found not guilty of all charges.

BTP’s Professional Standards Department has now conducted a review of the evidence in the case and Det Sgt Kerr will not face any further misconduct proceedings in relation to the incident.

Det Sgt Kerr was suspended from duty whilst the court case took place and has today been returned to operational duties.
