Men sought in connection with Newquay train assault identified

Two men sought by officers in connection with a sexual assault against a 17-year-old girl on a Cornwall train have now both come forward and are helping police with their enquiries.

We ask that you please no longer circulate or publish both men’s images while detectives continue their investigation into the incident, which took place on the Great Western Railway service between Newquay and Plymouth at around 8.45pm on Saturday 12 August.

Detective Paul Stanley said: “I would like to thank everybody who has provided us with information in relation to this case.

“Both men have now come forward and are assisting us with our investigation into this incident. “
