Officers have launched an investigation following an incident where a train conductor was racially abused.

The incident happened on 30 July between 12.30pm and 12.45pm.

Four teenagers boarded a tram at Birmingham Bull Street station. The boys were asked for their tickets by the conductor. Two of the teenagers became racially abusive towards the conductor. They became threating and anti-social.

The group were asked to leave the tram at Winson Green due to their behaviour. While leaving the service, one the men spat towards the conductor.

Officers are now appealing for information about the incident and ask anyone who witnessed what happened to contact us.
