We are appealing for information after an affray on the Jubilee Line between Waterloo and Wembley Park.

The incident started at around 1.30am on Saturday (5/8), on the northbound Jubilee Line platform at Waterloo underground station.

A man became involved in a verbal altercation with four other men and a fight broke out, which continued throughout the journey.

At some point during the journey, another man joined the fight, using his crutch as a weapon.

This man and the original man then left the train at Swiss Cottage and waited for the next service.

The group of four men left the train at Finchley Road, but then three of them re-joined the train, bringing all the parties together again.

The fight started again and the two men were punched and kicked in the heads whilst being held on the floor.

The fight spilled out onto the platform at Wembley Park station.

BTP officers attended and five people were arrested.

Three of the people involved sustained injuries that required hospital treatment, but have since been discharged.

Investigating officer, Det Con Michael Baker, said: “I would like to speak to anyone who saw or heard the disorder on this train in the early hours of Saturday morning.

“We need as many accounts as possible from any potential witnesses in order to establish exactly what happened and the sequence of events.

“The man who was initially on his own was wearing very distinctive clothing which may jog people’s memories. He is a black man with a Mohawk haircut and beard, who was wearing a bright suit with a purple, brown and gold Moschino pattern all over it.

“The man who joined the fight was a black man, wearing a blue jumper with white stripes, grey trousers and carrying a crutch.

“The men in the other group were white men, aged around 18 years old.

“The people involved sustained injuries ranging from minor cuts and bruises to a fractured neck. It is essential that we establish the exact circumstances of this violent incident.”

If you have any information about the incident, please call BTP on 0800 40 50 40 or text 61016, quoting reference 65 of 05/08/2017.
