Information sought after exposure incident on London Overground train

Detectives from British Transport Police’s Sexual Offences Unit are releasing CCTV images in connection to an exposure incident on the London Overground. 

The incident happened on a service travelling between Canonbury and Highbury & Islington at approximately 12.35pm on Sunday 4 June. 

The victim – a 19-year-old woman – was seated on the service when a transgender female sat opposite her. The suspect then exposed themselves to the victim before leaving the service at Highbury & Islington. She then boarded a separate train to Richmond. 

Today, CCTV images are being released of a person we wish to speak with in connection. If you know who they are then please contact officers. 

DC Andy Parkinson, said: “Incidents such as this are completely unacceptable and I would urge anyone with information to get in touch. 

“I’d like to thank the victim in this case for contacting us and reporting this person’s behaviour. Every report helps us build a picture of the perpetrator which we hope leads to an arrest.”
