Officers have launched an investigation following an incident of outraging public decency.

The incident happened on 12 July at 1.15pm at Manchester Piccadilly station.

A man came off a Northern Rail Blackpool North to Manchester Piccadilly train service and followed two young woman who had walked past him on the platform.

He then stood behind the girls as they waited to board the train, kneeled down and appeared to take a picture or video footage up their skirts for a couple of seconds using his smart phone.

Officers have now released images of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the incident, who they believe may have information that could help with the investigation.

They would also like to speak to anyone who was at the station and may have seen anyone who was acting suspiciously around two girls.
