Appeal for information after woman racially abused - Dumbarton

We are appealing for information after a woman was racially abused on a train between Helensburgh and Dumbarton.

The incident happened at around 10.45pm on Wednesday (28/7) on the 10.30pm train between  Dumbarton Central and Helensburgh Central Railway Station.

A woman approached a group of youths and challenged them for striking matches on the train.

A member of the group then racially abused the woman and the victim left the train.

Hate crime will not be tolerated on the railway network and BTP officers would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident who has not yet spoken to police.
