We are appealing for information after a man was assaulted at Preston Railway station.

The victim, a 26-year-old man, was assaulted by a group of youths on the footbridge between platforms 5/6 and 7 at around 10.55pm on 11 July.

The victim and a group of youths became involved in a disagreement which resulted in the victim being assaulted. He sustained several injuries including a broken nose, cuts and bruising to the face and a concussion.

The victim was dressed in a navy suit with a white shirt and dark tie, with brown shoes and was carrying an umbrella.

There are believed to be a number of witnesses to this incident and we would like anyone who saw this or has any information to come forward.
