We are appealing for information after an assault on a train from Marylebone station to Bicester Village railway station.

The victim, a 38-year-old man, was with his wife and children on the 7.19pm train from London on Wednesday 26 July.

A man was stood in the passage of the train blocking the way, and the woman asked him to move several times.

The man moved slightly and the woman and children were able to squeeze past him, but the man then swore at them.

The victim became involved in a verbal altercation with the offender, who then pushed him in the chest, grabbed his face and scratched him.

The victim sustained minor injuries to his face.

The offender is white, large build, bald and was wearing a black suit with a white shirt.

Officers would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the assault or has any information about the incident.
 
The train was busy so it is likely there were other passengers who saw what happened.
