Officers have launched an investigation following an incident in which a man exposed himself to a schoolgirl.

The incident happened on 4 July at 10.40am on the Metropolitan line between Baker Street and Wembley Park.

The victim, a 13-year-old, girl who was dressed in her school uniform was travelling between King’s Cross and Wembley Park.

A man boarded the Tube service at Baker Street; he stared at the girl before standing up and exposing himself to her.

The young girl, who got off at Wembley Park, was left scared and frightened.

The young girl crossed the platform at Wembley Park to board a Jubilee Line train. The man followed her and joined the same train and carriage.

The victim ran to another carriage before the train pulled away. The man stood staring at her through the window between two carriages.

She left the train at Kingsbury station and ran out of the station. The man also alighted at Kingsbury station.

Officers would now like to speak to the man in the CCTV image as they believe he holds vital information that could help with the investigation.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Marc Farmer said: “This poor schoolgirl was left freighted by the man’s behaviour.

“No one should be subjected to this. I am pleased that the girl had the courage and confidence to report the incident, for us, every report builds a picture.”
