Do you recognise these men?

We would like to speak to them in connection with an incident at East Tilbury Railway Station in the early hours of 14 July.

Just after 2am on Friday morning, two men were seen breaking into a ticket vending machine with cutting tools on platform two, resulting in £40,000 worth of damage. Cash and coin compartment were also stolen along with the credit card reader components.

We are appealing for any information about this act of vandalism and theft and have reason to believe it may be connected with a number of other incidents.

Investigating officer DC Michael Stephenson said “ There has been significant damage and loss as the result of this criminal activity and we are keen to hear from anyone that may have information in connection to this incident.

“We are releasing CCTV images of two men we would like to speak to in connection with our enquiries. If you know who they are then please do get in touch. Your information could prove vital in our ongoing investigations.”

Anyone who witnessed the incident or who has any information about what happened is asked to contact DC Michael Stephenson by calling BTP on 0800 40 50 40 or text information to 61016, quoting reference number 201 of 240717.
