We are appealing for information after a train window was smashed in the Glasgow area.

The incident happened between around 7.50pm and 8pm on Wednesday 5 July, on the 7.19pm service from Glasgow Queen Street to Alloa.

It is not known how the window came to be smashed but it is believed to have occurred as the train travelled between Larbert and Stirling.

The carriage involved was full of people and the noise of the impact would have been very loud, so it is likely that a passenger may have seen how the window was smashed.

If you were on board the service or witnessed what happened and have not yet spoken to police, please call BTP on 0800 40 50 40 or text information to 61016, quoting reference number 581 05/07/17.
