Officers have launched an investigation following a trespass near Guildford station.

The incident happened on 14 June between 1pm and 1.38pm.

Two men walked to the end of the platform at the station and then continued walking on the live rails through Chalk tunnel.

Trains were put on caution and the incident caused significant delays.

Detective constable Emma Boulton would now like to speak to the two men in the CCTV image as she believes they have vital information which could help with the investigation.

She said: “Trespassing on the railway is a very serious offence. Going on the tracks can result in serious life-changing injuries or death, not to mention the amount of delays that it causes.”

Anyone with any information should contact British Transport Police on 0800 40 50 40 or text 61016 citing reference 302 of 05/07.
