Last week the windscreen of a fast moving train was smashed in an incident involving two males, aged approximately between 16 and 20. One is believed to have thrown a large stone from a bridge over the tracks whilst the other filmed.

The incident occurred at Franklands bridge, Burgess Hill, Sussex at 9.35pm on Wednesday 28 June.

The driver narrowly avoided injury as the outer windscreen shattered but the inner sheet of glass held. Officers have released images of the damage caused, which left the driver understandably shaken.

Officers are now appealing for information on this incident and ask that anyone who witnessed any suspicious to get in touch. Reckless behaviour such as this will not be tolerated and officers are working hard to identify those responsible.
