Witnesses sought after disturbance on board train to East Croydon

Officers from British Transport Police are hoping to identify witnesses to a disturbance on board a train between Victoria and East Croydon. 

The incident happened on Sunday 18 June on board the 4am service between the two stations. A woman was sat down when a man joined the service and immediately became hostile. Throughout the journey he was threatening and abusive to the woman and other passengers. 

At East Croydon station the man left the service, he was stopped by officers and his details were taken. Enquiries are on-going to establish the circumstances of the incident, and officers are today appealing for further witnesses to come forward.
