Racially aggravated public order – Kidderminster to Worcester Foregate Street

Officers are appealing for information following a racially aggravated public order offence on board a Stratford to Worcester Foregate Street service. 
 
The incident happened on Thursday 8 June between Kidderminster and Worcester Foregate Street. 
 
A woman boarded the service at Kidderminster at 7.20pm. While travelling, a man in the same carriage stood up and began racially abusing her. He then made a strangling gesture towards her. 
 
Officers have arrested a 33-year-old man from Worcester on suspicion of racially aggravated public order. The man was also arrested for carrying a lock knife and a Class B drug. He has been released pending further investigation. 
 
Officers would like to speak to anyone who may have been travelling on the service at the time and may have witnessed the incident to come forward.
