CCTV image released after man head-butted on train – Durham/ Darlington

We would like to speak to him after a man was head-butted on a train travelling between Durham and Darlington.

The incident happened on Saturday, 13 May at around 10.30pm. 

The victim, a 24-year-old man from Middlesbrough, was approached by a man who pushed him in the chest and then head -butted him.

The man then walked back down the carriage to rejoin a group of friends he was travelling with.

Detective Inspector Mick Jackson said: “We believe this was an unprovoked attack which has left the victim with bruising and swelling to his cheek.

“I would like to speak to the man captured on CCTV in connection with this assault. Who is he? If you know him please contact us.”
