Our thoughts remain with all those affected by the devastating incident at the Manchester Arena, which claimed the lives of many innocent people.

BTP officers were amongst the first on the scene at the attack on Monday, 22 May, along with many others.

They instantly began treating the wounded who lay on the ground.

Some of our officers have spoken about their experiences of that nigh

Alongside Greater Manchester Police, BTP officers remained at the Arena in the days after the attack, supporting the investigation.

Manchester Victoria station has now reopened and our officers are on duty, along with our colleagues in the rail industry, ready to welcome commuters, tourists and the community back to the station.

Following this attack, we all stand united in defiance of this cowardly act of terrorism. The attempt to divide our way of life will never succeed; hatred has no place in our society.
