Do you recognise these people? We would like to speak to them in connection with a robbery at Chester Road station in Sutton Coldfield.

At around 5.50pm on 27 April, the victim, a 20-year-old man, was asked for a cigarette by two men who he did not know.

A short while later, the victim was making a phone call on the ramp by the platforms at the railway station.

During the phone call, the same two men approached him and one of them hit him in the head, causing the victim to fall to the ground.

The victim dropped his phone during the fall and the offenders took it before running away.

The victim sustained  injuries to his face, including to his eyes and nose, and required hospital treatment.

Officers would like to speak to the two men shown in the CCTV image as they may have information which could help the investigation.

If you know them, or have any other information about the incident, please call BTP on 0800 40 50 40 or text 61016, quoting reference number 448 27/04/2017.
