Do you recognise this man? We would like to speak to him in connection with a sexual assault at Marble Arch station.

The victim, a woman aged in her forties who has arthritis, was struggling to walk in a passageway when she was approached by a man who assisted her onto the platform and then sat with her on a bench.

He started making inappropriate comments towards her before touching her inappropriately and trying to kiss her, until a member of rail staff intervened.

The offender left on a Westbound service.

The incident happened on 23 February at around 3.25pm.

Investigating officer, Det Con Andrew Parkinson, said: “The woman was very frightened during this incident before a member of staff came to her aid. We have been making enquiries since the incident occurred and are now releasing CCTV images of a man we would like to speak to as he may have information which could help the investigation.

“If you know who he is or have any other information which could help with the appeal, please call BTP on 0800 40 50 40 or text 61016, quoting reference number 427 23/02/17.”
