Officers from British Transport Police are investigating a five vehicle arson at Haddiscoe station during the early hours of Sunday morning.

Police were first alerted after 1am and attended alongside Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service. The fires were extinguished and an investigation is now underway.

Fortunately no one was injured as a result of the incident.

Investigating officer Sergeant Alan Bowell, said: “Five vehicles were destroyed as a result of this act of criminality. We are working hard to trace exactly who is responsible for this and I would welcome any support from the public. If you have any idea who set fire to these vehicles I would urge you to make contact with us as soon as possible.

“This is a very remote area, however I would particularly like to hear from anyone who may have been in the area around 1am and saw anyone acting suspiciously.”
