Officers are appealing for information following a racially aggravated incident.

The offence happened on 6 March between the hours of 4pm and 5pm on board a train between Doncaster and Conisbrough station.
Two men boarded the service at Doncaster. They tried to hide in the train toilet cubicle during the short journey.

They were challenged by the train guard and both men were asked to leave the train at Conisbrough.

One of them men pulled the emergency stop cord on the train. The other man became racially abusive towards passengers whilst at Conisbrough.

This same man, prior to the train departing the station, also tried kicking and punching the train window.

Investigating officer PC Alek Marinkovic said: “I am keen to speak with the person in the CCTV image as I believe he holds information that could help with the investigation.

"Everyone has the right to travel on the rail network without fear or intimidation nobody should be subjected to abuse due to their race or ethnicity.”
