Man charged with assaulting PCSO - London Euston

A man has been charged with assaulting a British Transport Police PCSO after an incident at London Euston railway station.

Roy French, aged 51, of Dyne Road, London, was charged on Sunday (2/4) with one count of assaulting a person occasioning them actual bodily harm and one count of possession of a knife / sharp pointed article in a public place.

The charge relates to an incident on Saturday (1/4) at Euston railway station in which a BTP PCSO was assaulted with a metal ruler and sustained a cut to his forehead.

French was arrested on Saturday and charged the following day.

He appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court yesterday and is next due to appear at Blackfriars Crown Court on 28 April.
