Officers are appealing for information after a woman was sexually assaulted at Swansea railway station.

The incident happened on 6 February at 9.23pm when a man approached a woman and asked her for information about trains to Cardiff.

The woman pointed in the direction of platform 1 and then the man then lent towards the women and tried to kiss her. The woman moved away and the man leaned towards her again and asked her to give him a kiss.

The man then made his way to platform 1, where the Cardiff service pulled in, and boarded the train.

Investigating PC Gareth Broad said: “I am keen to speak to the man in the CCTV image as I believe that he has vital information that could help with the investigation. This woman was left shocked and scared. Everyone has the right to travel without experiencing unwanted sexual behaviour and I urge people to come forward if they have any information about this incident.”

Anyone with any information should contact British Transport Police on 0800 40 50 40 or text 61016 citing reference 130 23/03/2017.
