A man has been charged with sexual assault following an incident on a train between Lydney and Severn Tunnel.

Nathan Emms, aged 29, of Heather Court, Ty Canol, Cwmbran,  was arrested and charged on Friday (10/3) with one count of sexual assault on a female.

The charge is in relation to an incident on Saturday 4 February in which a 13-year-old girl was sexually assaulted.

Emms has been bailed and is due to appear at Cheltenham Magistrates’ Court on 6 April.

Notes for editors:

We recently appealed for a woman who is thought to have come to the victim’s assistance on board the train service to come forward. As a result of the appeal, a woman has been in touch and has spoken to police.  We would ask that you cease running this appeal and note that a man has now been charged in connection with the incident.
