Images released following robbery on train – Mitcham

Detectives from British Transport Police (BTP) have today released images of a man they would like to speak to in relation to a robbery on board a train on Wednesday 3 August.

Detective Sergeant Helen Parsfield is investigating. She said: “The victim was travelling on the 10.08 service from Mitcham Junction towards London Victoria.

“When the train was nearing Mitcham Eastfields, a man approached the victim and cornered her by the doorway, demanding she hand over her possessions.

“The victim gave him some cash and her mobile phone before he alighted the train at Mitcham Eastfields.”

Officers have conducted several enquiries, including reviewing CCTV footage and have released images of a man they think has key information about what took place.
